I have been consistently great at two things in my life, 1. Changing hobbies every 5 minutes and 2. Finding a reason not to keep fit (there’s always a reason ). What Iron Minds has done, has allowed me to break these Habits. The reason I change hobbies is because I like new challenges, the fitness programme that we follow at Iron Minds, is so diverse, that I am presented with a new challenge almost every session. I’m constantly learning new things, and as I get fitter, I’m able to raise the bar to make even a simple thing become interesting. I’ve done squats lots of times before, but I recently endured a 6-week back squat programme. It allowed me to focus on one specific skill and really understand my body. And that is just one exercise! The results were amazing, I went from a 70KG back squat, to a 125kg back squat, and that now acts as a solid base for a lot of the movements that are required in the exercises that we do. So, my hobby for 6 weeks was squatting, now I’m working on my next challenge, this keeps me interested and focused which stops me from looking elsewhere for new challenges. And when it comes to defeating my awful habit of “finding a reason not to train” I had a plethora of reasons, injury, tired, too busy, it’s too cold…. all valid of course, but not impossible to overcome. So how did Iron Minds help me overcome this? Community. The community at Iron Minds is so dedicated, that it’s infectious. I used to train alone a lot, it can be very boring, and I’d lack the motivation to really push myself, the gyms that I used to go to, could have 100 people exercising, and you wouldn’t utter a word to anyone as they would be hiding behind their mobile phones & headphones. The second you enter a WOD at Iron Minds, you’re encouraged to discuss the movements with the rest of the team, and when you start to feel the pinch, there’s always somebody there to cheer you on. It’s more like a team sport than an individual session. You won’t see a mobile phone or pair of headphones, and everybody gives it 100% regardless of their ability. It’s all about working as a team, and never giving up. The feeling you get from being part of an Iron Minds workout is impossible to put into words really, you must try it to understand, but it’s likely to be like nothing you have experienced before.

I’m a triathlete, I’ve been doing middle distance (70.3 miles) triathlons for years, constantly improving. Until 2022. After another year of training on my own I finally “peaked” (not even 30 and I genuinely felt this way), 6 minutes slower than my best time. After over 6 hours of racing instead of feeling proud of myself I was devastated. I knew I needed to make a change in my training routine and after following CrossFit for some time I finally took the plunge, reaching out to the team at IronMind. Instantly I knew it was the right decision and I’m gutted I didn’t do it sooner. Instantly I was welcomed as part of the team, with coaching from day 1. I am now part of a community of like minded people, all striving to better themselves. I feel valued as well as challenged and after a short time I saw my body change in such a positive way. Thank you IronMind!

“I have been training for five years now, I have been with IronMind for 3 years now. I absolute adore the friendly coaches and other members. I have recently given birth to a healthy baby boy and thanks to IronMind I am recovering quicker than I thought I would. If you are on the fence give them a try you`ll never want to train on your own again”

“Functional fitness training has been my focus for 18 months, prior to this I did a lot of HIIT and Les Mills classes, so it need a natural progression to go too after excelling in these areas. The coaching is second to none and nothing like I have received before. I am super proud of achieving a full clean at 65kg in a non-competitive environment. If you are looking to make measurable progress with genuine people who are proud of your success, hit them up.”

“Having been a keen runner I joined IronMind 2 years ago in Jan 2019 looking to benefit from some strength training. Group training has proved affective for me that I am accountable to my peers. I have gone from a complete beginner to a competent athlete understanding all movements and knowing my STRENGTHS & WEAKNESS`S. Being given the guidance to work on everything has been a game changer. It literally is the BEST fitness decision I have ever made”

“This has been my go-to training for 18 months now. The community feel to classes is 5 star not only do I train with other athletes I also have made friends with them something I have never done at a gym before. I am proud that I recently achieved a goal of muscle ups both bar and ring and with consistence coaching I have been able to string these together. People should check out IronMind as its a great environment to be in. Not only to get shredded and strong but to build confidence with friends”

“I always felt o bit intimidated seeing photos and videos of what was on the internet. However, I went to IronMind to try a taster with a friend and was hooked ever since that day. I started with 3 sessions a week I now I train most days. You get such a good sense of community with everyone always tries to di there best and push each other without any judgement. No one is done until the last person finishes. The team workouts on Saturday create a strong bond within the gym. Everyone knows everyone and its unlike any other class or gym I have been to before. The group environment allows you to break your own boundaries. I would and do recommend people give it a try, it’s a great community, a good laugh and makes fitness less dull”
